Sugar is a very important source of energy, however, contrary to common belief that, brown sugar is more nutritional than white sugar, let’s have you know today that they are nutritionally similar. 

While brown sugar is processed in a completely natural way, to maintain as much of the sugarcane’s natural nutrition as possible, with 380 calories per 100g. White sugar on the other hand contains 385 calories per 100g.

Brown and white sugar is recommended to be consumed not more than 5-10% of your daily calories.

White and Brown sugar can be used in different ways especially in cooking and baking.

However, the main difference between white sugar and brown sugar is the presence of molasses. This gives brown sugar a distinctive flavor, color and moisture level that makes it stand out from regular white table sugar.
