Butter cookies are delicious treats made with butter, sugar, and flour. They’re often shaped into various forms and can include ingredients like vanilla or nuts for flavor. So as we celebrate Christmas and the dawn of a new year, like my fellow Nigerians would say in pidgin “make we use this one take hold body.”
For this recipe, you’d be needing the following ingredients👇
INGREDIENTS
6 Cups flour
370g butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups icing sugar
2 large eggs
PROCEDURE
1) In a large bowl,sift together flour and salt. Mix and set aside.
2) In a seperate bowl, cream butter and icing sugar until pale and creamy
3) Add 2 eggs and beat for about 5 minutes.
4) Add in your milk and vanilla extract. Mix gently.
5) Gradually add flour to the butter mixture and mix properly.
6) Place batter in pipping bags with different noozles
7) Pipe batter in a greased and lined baking tray (you can place your parchment paper on your tray before greasing)
8) Place the tray in fridge and chill for 30 minutes( this is done to ensure the shape firmness of cookies during baking).
9)Bake in preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown.
