INGREDIENTS

  • Flour
  • milk
  • egg
  • sugar
  • salt

CHIN CHIN PRODUCTION RECIPES
Flour 500g
Milk 2 Tablespoons
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Margarine 30g (Well crunchy)
Nutmeg (Optional) 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Egg 1
Water bit by bit
Milk Flavour 1 teaspoon
Oil for frying just enough
Sugar 1/4 cup
Fanta drink 1 cup

PROCEDURE
In a large bowl pour in your sieved flour and add baking powder, sugar, and all other dry ingredients. Mix them well.

Add margarine and mix properly with your hands until it appears like (fine bread) crumbs.
Break an egg, whisk, and pour into the flour mixture.

Add the Fanta. Fanta has a very nice flavor which gives your Chin Chin a very nice attraction and equally adds to the lasting nature of the Chin Chin while it remains fresh.

Add milk (if liquid), and water and mix thoroughly until you get smooth and not too hard dough to have a crunchy hardough.

Place the dough on your work table and carefully knead for a few minutes. Cut into sizeable pieces and knead them into a container.

Roll the piece-cut dough flat and cut it into a cube shape or any of your desired shapes. Or place in a Chin Chin cutter and cut into strips.

Place your oil on heat until very hot;
pour in the chin and fry until it becomes golden brown.

Once fried, pack them into a sieve for the oil to drain. Once a bit cool, start packing them for sale or consumption.

If you don’t have an oven then you can use a very big pot just put stones or tiles or iron in the pot and put the pan containing the chin chin to be baked inside on top, cover the pan with foil and place the pot on top of the fire, keep monitoring the chin chin in the pot when it turns brown; you can bring it down.

MARKETABILITY
You will need sales canvassers to push your chin chin to your target markets. The target markets are shops, motor parks, schools, offices, supermarkets, open markets and street hawkers, even worship centers.
