Doughnuts are a delicious fried or baked treat, often in the shape of a ring or ball, and can be coated in various toppings like sugar, glaze, or sprinkles. However, not many people know how this attractive snack came to be. Let me walk you through on how to make the perfect doughnuts for at least 500 guests for that party you are organizing.
Number of Doughnuts: 500 pieces
Quantity of dough per doughnut: 60g
Ingredients
Flour 7.2kg
Sugar 780g
Yeast 16 teaspoons
Butter 350g
Salt 9 teaspoons
Milk 15 tablespoons
Vanilla flavor 8 teaspoons
Milk flavor 6 teaspoons
Egg 15 pieces
Procedure
Mix all dry ingredients together in a sizeable bowl.
Mix milk/lukewarm water, yeast, egg, melted butter, and vanilla flavor together.
Whisk the content very well to mix properly
Add to your flour mixture gradually the water mixture. Mix with your hand very well until sticky.
Transfer to a floured work surface and knead the dough for 10 minutes adding a little flour being careful not to add too much. The dough should be soft.
Grease a container and place the dough in it; brush oil on dough and cover for about 1 hour or until double in size
Divide the dough into the same sizes on a scale of 60g. Dust the surface with four, form each Doug into a ball place on the work surface allowing them to rest for about 15 minutes.

Using a scraper, press the dough ball down and cut the center using a piping tip.
Remove excess dough. Place them in the dusted tray and cover for 5 minutes.
Start frying in batches making sure the fire isn’t too high to allow the inside to fry well..
